Hello all!
The Pittsburgh launch party was last night and turned out to be a great time! I wanted to THANK ALL THE VENDORS that came and participated, not to mention the fabulous brides and grooms to be and their bridal parties that attended. UNFORTUNATELY...I'm not sure how this happened....but I have NO PICTURES OF THE EVENT?!?! We had multiple photographers there and I had my camera with me, but no shots snapped that I knew of! So if anyone at the launch last night has some photos for me, PLEASE share them! Bummer. Oh well, always the next party!

We're so excited to officially be in the Pittsburgh area now!!! We're starting the season off on Saturday for a Vegas-themed 18th Birthday Party! Should be fun!

WEDDING PLANNING GIVEAWAY!!!!
Usually 2-3 times a year Lavish Events will run a contest that will allow for engaged couples to enter to win free wedding planning from LAVISH. While we already have our collaborative contest...the Pittsburgh Halloween Wedding Giveaway running (please read the blog posting from the 13th on this), we are also looking to donate our services to one more lucky couple! We want to plan a truly UNIQUE wedding that reflects the couples personalities to the utmost extent!
Here's some key points to the contest::
1. Entries may be submitted via email ::Lavish@LavishEventsOnline.com:: and may include an essay, video, photos, or any combination of creativity. We simply want to know why your wedding will be unique and what you see for your BIG DAY. Don't hesitate to throw in your story as well!!!
2. We will accept entries beginning TODAY and the deadline will be June 1st.
3. Wedding date must be in 2010 or 2011 and must be a date we have available.
4. Prize will include a free total wedding planning package and event design as well as a 75% discount on day-of wedding coordination. Total prize value is $2,500!
5. Contestants must agree to having interviews posted on the Lavish Events website as well as the blog on a consistent basis throughout the planning process.
6. Wedding must be held in the Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Erie, Fredonia, Honolulu, New York City, or Chicago area. If wedding is to be held outside of one of the Lavish Planners networks, then contestant is responsible for additional travel fees.
7. Couple must be FUN LOVING, and up for anything!!!!
Enter away and best of luck! The team of Lavish planners will be reviewing the entries as we get them and the big announcement will be on June 5th! Good luck!

LAUNCH PARTY RSVP EXTENSION! Last chance!
We still have 8 remaining guest spots at this private event and are extending the RSVP date to April 20th! The Lavish Events launch party is sure to be a fun and relaxing night with Pittsburgh's finest wedding vendors and engaged couples and their family and friends! This is not a typical bridal expo! It's more like an informational and productive cocktail party, and of course a celebration of Lavish Events' expansion into the Pittsburgh area.

Pom Pom-making fool!
If you have seen it or not, the new fab decor for weddings and parties is moving away from paper lanterns to these super trendy tissue-paper pom poms! First showcased by Martha Stewart...they have become the most requested item from Lavish. We have 4 upcoming events that are using these pom poms so I have been VERY busy folding and fluffing and hanging these inexpensive but fun decorations! Also check out how REAL these tissue-paper pomander balls look! Just an FYI I snagged this photo from a wedding blog because my toddler seems to have broken my camera! These are a really great alternative to paper lanterns....as you probably know the lanterns range anywhere from $4 to about $15 each...whereas these tissue creations are significantly less than that...so shoot us an email for a quote!
